WHAT?

MoreTXT are two creative authors, Lonneke Kok and Jowi Schmitz. For six years, we mainly produced all kinds of texts concerning theatre, music, dance, and literature. Summer 2007, we changed our activities: we now make more literary productions, and some large magazines, such as TM, the Dutch magazine for the performing arts, and the half yearly magazine of the VandenEnde Foundation. Besides, we offer workshop in writing for starting authors. Workshops and texts are all in Dutch, but can be translated by our translators.

HOW?

Just by writing, one can write. We write, because we like writing and reading, as a way of living. To make our short stories, theatre plays and semi-literary educational texts available for the audience, we are always in search for clients who like to publish our thoughts.

WHO?

Lonneke Kok (1976) studied Dutch language and culture, journalism and theatre science at the University of Groningen. Before starting MoreTXT, she worked for three years as an editor for TM, a monthly magazine about theatre, music and dance, and also as a theatre journalist for the Haarlems Dagblad. She is now an editor of the free daily newspaper DAG. Jowi Schmitz (1972) studied Cultural Studies at the University of Amsterdam. As well as MoreTXT, she works as a theatre critic for NRC Handelsblad. In 2005, she published her first novel Leopold, followed in August 2007 by her second, Kus van je Zus.

WHERE?

We both live in Amsterdam, but we work with partners in the entire country. We have done projects in Amsterdam, The Hague, Utrecht, Almere, Arnhem, Den Bosch, Groningen and Maastricht.
